I’ve been involved with photography since holding my father’s Rolleiflex for the first time at the tender age of ten. Since then I’ve worked part-time doing weddings, portraiture, landscape, and small product photography as well as photo restoration.Whereas before I took on any project that came along today it quite different. I have the luxury of only choosing projects that will benefit from my photographic style, whether they be a short-form documentary, an event, or an individual portrait.Now living near Seattle WA, my primary focus is on black and white photography although I do some color work on request. While subjects vary there is a consistent theme across all my work: one that honors its subjects and reveals more about those subjects than a simple snapshot. Most of my projects are self-initiated and self-sponsored but I do occasionally work on commission. When that happens my interest is only in working with people where there is a good fit. The end result is one of personal and collaborative effort, not a canned product.
